IPPADS- Implementing a Perioperative Penicillin Allergy Delabelling Service:

Now complete and IPPADS-2 is awaited!

The winning idea for this year’s SWARM project is IPPADS- Implementing a Perioperative Penicillin Allergy Delabelling Service. The design is a qualitative study using implementation science and behavioural theory to identify barriers or enablers towards setting up a penicillin allergy delabelling service in hospitals across the region. SWARM will collect and analyse data from a structured questionnaire given to key stakeholders in each hospital, and use this to create an effective and efficient targeted plan for design and implementation of a delabelling service in the region. This is SWARM’s first piece of qualitative research and venture into implementation science, and we are excited to get going soon.
