Successful applicants will have the opportunity to take a leading role in at least one SWARM project - this could cover multiple aspects of project management, from design, ethics, recruitment and data collection through to analysis, write-up and presentation. Furthermore, there will also be the opportunity to develop and lead an upcoming project. The role will provide individuals with generic research methodology training with the aim of completing the Advanced Module in Research (Annex G RCOA Curriculum 2010). In keeping with the SWARM model, the post will involve collaborative working across the 6 Peninsula centres.
2 sessions a week will be dedicated to research roles. The term generally runs for one year, however this can be split up into separate blocks.
For more information, and to discuss the structure of this post, including hospital rotations, please contact Dr Gary Minto at Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
This post is funded by PenCLARHC, PenCLRN, HESW and Derriford Anaesthetic Department.
